| KRASIC: I AM LOOKING FORWARD TO THE CHAMPIONS LEAGUE
Milos Krasic got the highest marks from Sport Express as the best right midfielder of Premier League-2008 season.
CSKA Serbian recruit Milos Krasic became the best right midfielder of the Russian championship according to Sport Express version for the second consecutive year.
"I am sure that all players pay attention to their marks given by journalists after every matchday, and if someone says that it’s not true, he is cunning", said Krasic. "Becoming the best player in your position is very pleasant and honorable. Moreover it boosts you to play as better as you can".
"I played several games in the central zone, but I agree with specialists who say that I look much better at the right flank of midfield. Our switching to the system with four defenders produced a positive impact on my performance. With this tactics I got more freedom on the pitch, that gave me an opportunity to join attacks more often".
"Starting from our first-half match against Spartak, we began playing more dangerously and it brought results. Most probably it is connected with our switch to a new playing scheme. At the same time I would like to mention that our previous 3-5-2 system, with which we won many prestigious trophies, was also very effective. Our coaches just decided that it was time for changes".
"This season was fantastic for me, and I feel that I made big progress. CSKA grabbed the Champions League berth, won the Russian Cup and secured a spot in the UEFA Cup playoffs. Moreover I squeezed to the national team squad and scored several goals".
"Only one thing dissatisfied me this season, since we failed to become Premier League champions. On the other hand the second place could also be considered as success, especially after we occupied the seventh place in the standings in summer and many things went wrong. However as soon as we started winning, everybody told that CSKA were showing the best football in Russia. I think it perfectly represents the facts. We achieved a good pace in the second half of the championship and we got great pleasure from playing football".
"Now we are looking forward for the next autumn, when we will play in the Champions League. I suppose that CSKA could produce a sensation there".
"My teammates and I are not going to take leave of the club, because we understand that the today team can attain fantastic results. I have a running contract with CSKA, and I will be able to talk about my possible quit only if the club gets a concrete offer from a foreign side".
