ZHIRKOV BEST IN THE RUSSIAN CHAMPIONSHIP-2008

The midfielder of CSKA and the Russian national team Yuri Zhirkov became best player of the Russian championship-2008 according to Sport Express.

The twenty best this season according to Sport Express.



"I disagree that this season was the best in my career," said Yuri Zhirkov. "For we failed to win the Russian Championship."

"Though I cannot deny that this year was full of good events. I can distinguish Euro 2008 where our national team performed very well."

"In the second round of the Russian championship I was pleased with the game of my team. CSKA played spectacular and effectively. There was an impression that the team is capable of outplaying any opponent. It is pity we lacked just a tiny bit for gold medals."

"I think that I am still on the same level as I used to be. But both CSKA and the national team became stronger and on this background any player would look better and more interesting."

"There are matches that I can watch over and over again, e.g. the Euro 2008 quarterfinal against Holland or the game in St. Petersburg against Zenit. But of course there are moments I want to forget as soon as possible. I think you know what i am talking about [the recent match with Spartak where Yuri was sent off the field for swearing and unsportsmanlike behaviour]. It is a pity we lost, as we did not deserve the defeat."

"It is very pleasant to become best player of the championship. But if I were to decide who was the best this season I would say it was Sergei Semak. His Rubin won gold medals."

"I do not yet know where to I am to spend my holiday, but I will probably visit Spain and watch the best current team Barcelona."




Yuryj Zhirkov è il miglior giocatore del 2008 in Russia.Sport Express ha consigliato all'esterno mancino del CSKA e della Nazionale Russa il premio e lo ha intervistato.Zhirkov ha ringraziato ma ha anche ammesso con grande sportività che colui che più di tutti lo avrebbe meritato è Segey Semak,suo ex capitano al CSKA ed ora capitano di Yury in Nazionale.Una stagione che non appaga sino in fondo l'elegante ala di Tambov che non ha ancora smesso di pensare alla partita persa malamente con tanto di espulsione contro lo Spartak Mosca.Una stagione però densa di avvenimenti fantastici come il bronzo ad Euro 2008 e la vittoria a San Pietroburgo.

Assolutamente d'accordo. Yuri è stato autore di una stagione splendida, questo riconoscimento era il minimo che gli si potesse fare. Il prossimo sarà il pallone d'oro

grandissimo sta crescendo sempre di piu quest'anno è migliorato tantissimo ha continuato ad altissimi livelli anche dopo l'Europeo che lo ha reso protagonista sulla fascia (il miglior terzino/ala dell'Europeo senza dubbio),è riuscito a portare insieme a Dzagoev Vagner e Krasic (ma sopratutto lui il 18ene e il Bomber Brasiliano) il Cska alla champions quando sembravano spacciati..grande annata per lui che lo consacra definitivamente..ho letto oggi che il Seska ha intenzione di confermare tutti i Big ..
